infinitely unhappy girl

Oh, infinitely beautiful girl
you are not alone

she wrote with
scarlet lipstick on her mirror

But words alone
don't
change hearts

and she was infinitely
unhappy

cursed

doomed

All the boys and men
said yes
to her

but her brother still
said no

Happy to know I’m getting better!
      Thanks, Jonathan!

      1. I think the world would be boring without all different emotions, you are right. That would make us robots. I struggle with sadness a lot myself, but find ways to cope, what about you?

        1. Well, there were times in my life when I’d define a sad day as a wasted day. Wasted in the sense of it having passed without me adding anything in the way of following my dream (writing).
But that was a younger, more foolish version of me (^_^)
Now I know life isn’t all about chasing goals but what’s more, I came to realize that an average life is also okay.
You know, lately with all this self-help material that’s being pushed down our throats in all walks of life it feels like the ultimate failure is one who is okay with living an average, peaceful life. We’re constantly told that we’ve to struggle and fight to make our dreams come true and other stuff like that.
Precious little is said about the one who is contempt with a simple, average, and peaceful life. It might not be the case for everyone but I personally have found that it’s better to just take it easy, enjoy the present moment and take rather small but consistent steps towards your goals.

  1. I love that! I have a app on my phone that sends me little sayings that are about hope, or living my life to the fullest or loving oneself. I like to count my blessings one say at a time these days too. I have a big goal, but I am trying to not let it overclipse me.
I found a scripture that goes in line with what you are thinking. Hebrews 13:5 says Let your life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things.

  2. There are so many things I wish I could give to a younger me too. To slow down and stop and think before you do something. To get take and get advise from the right place.
I have on recently figured out truly how to meet goals, slow and steady like you said.
“The plans of the diligent surely lead to success.”—Proverbs 21:5. What do you think?

    1. ʕっ• ᴥ • ʔっ agreement 101%!!

We do live in a world that tries to sell you the idea that you can be a multi billionaire by the age of 25, and so on.
I never put a timeline on goals. Some things need to grow naturally.
You know what they say, “It takes 25 years to be 25 years old.”

  3. So true, it has taken me almost 40 years to just get those years of knowledge, and feelings.
So back to the feelings thought…and them all not being the same, what do you think about the difference of being sad vs suffering? Life wouldn’t be the same without sadness, but what about a life without suffering? Or the feeling of being doomed?

    1. Sadness and suffering both come from the judgments we place on events that happen in our life.
It’s all a matter of choosing the right response, I’d say.
